A Prayer for the Bereaved

Lord Jesus, I lift up to You members of families experiencing the passing of a loved one. Please comfort each of them at this difficult time. Please calm their anxieties and give them Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Lord Jesus, I thank You that You will never leave or forsake them, that You are with them always to uphold them with Your righteous right hand. Help them to know that though the loved one is not with them in the body, the loved one will live on in their memories. Help them to replace grief with the fond memories that they have, so that they can find comfort and joy in these memories. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for answering this prayer.

To You, Lord Jesus, be the glory, power, majesty and dominion both now and forever. Amen.
